Alaska requires home inspectors to maintain the following minimum insurance coverage:
- $20,000 for property damage
- $50,000 for injury or death to one person
- $100,000 for injury or death to more than one person
Submit a Certificate of Insurance issued by an insurance agency with your application.

Complete and submit your application to the Alaska Home Inspectors Program. Include the following:
- Nonrefundable application fee ($100)
- Registration fee ($250)
- Authorization for the release of records
- Final exam scores
Fees must be made payable to “State of Alaska.”
