The NHIE consists of 200 multiple-choice questions across three domains and has a time limit of four hours. Each attempt costs approximately $225. Taking a prep course is recommended to improve your chances of passing on the first attempt.

Submit Your Application with Supporting Documents

Submit the following:

  1. Proof of Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance with at least $250,000 in aggregate coverage.
  2. A notarized CORI form (Criminal Offender Record Information).
  3. A recent passport-style color photograph.
  4. Any applicable documents detailing prior disciplinary actions or convictions, along with certified records if necessary.

Pay the Application Fee

Submit the $338 application fee when you send in your application and supporting documents.
