The exam fee is $225, and while you may retake the exam, you must wait 30 days between attempts and pay the exam fee for each attempt.

Obtain Insurance Coverage

New Jersey home inspectors must have Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance coverage with a minimum of $500,000 per occurrence. This ensures protection in case of liability or errors.
