Entrepreneur Magazine continues to be impressed by WIN. WIN Home Inspection ranks 192 on this year’s Franchise 500 list, up 16 places from a year ago and 232 positions higher than two years ago. This is our fifth consecutive year on the list and our highest ranking so far.
WIN is growing as demand for quality home inspections grows. An estimated 5.26 million homes were sold in 2014. The National Association of Realtors says 77% of homebuyers pay for an inspection, and 99% of Realtors recommend an inspection. As the economy recovers and the housing market improves, demand for inspections continues to drive business to current WIN franchise owners, while sparking interest among potential franchise owners who are looking into the home improvement industry.
WIN offers a service that pertains to every homeowner and buyer, and is consistently growing and building the franchisee base to accommodate this increasing market need. Above all, we strive to align themselves with owner operators who are representative of WIN’s brand and core values.
We train franchise owners in the technical aspects of home inspection and support them with state-of-the-art technology; prior home inspection or construction experience is not necessary. WIN also trains franchisees in building trusting relationships with Realtors and homebuyers.
WIN is a low-cost franchise, with startup costs as low as $32,900, and the ability to start the business with liquid capital of just $20,000 and net worth as low as $30,000. The business model is flexible enough to be run successfully as a sole proprietorship or as a multi-territory operation with an owner managing a group of inspectors. Operating costs are low, as well — not much more than a home office, a cell phone and a vehicle.
WIN Home Inspection has been named a top franchise for veterans by both G.I Jobs magazine and Entrepreneur. Fully one quarter of WIN franchisees are veterans, and veterans can qualify for substantially discounted franchise fees under the WIN for America program.
“The low cost to own a WIN franchise was key in our decision making, however, it was the support the WIN team offered me that sealed the deal,” says Jeff Brown of WIN Mountain View. “I not only spoke to everyone at WIN’s corporate office, they also provided me with a list of franchisees to contact on my own. I felt like a part of the team before I became a franchisee and appreciate the family-owned, personalized support WIN provides versus the corporate feeling I got from competing franchise systems. I was within three days of signing with a competitor when I discovered WIN. I am so grateful I did.”
